Drop out Boy is an American rock band from Wilmette, Illinois, formed in 2001. This guitar rock band consists of vocalist/guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley. The members originally played in local underground hardcore bands before forming Fall Out Boy. With Pete Wentz as the band's primary lyricist and Patrick Stump as the primary composer, Fall Out Boy broke out of the underground music scene and reached mainstream success using their major label album From Beneath the Cork Tree. Released in 2005 as the follow-up with their 2003 debut Take This in your Grave, the album won several awards and achieved double platinum status after selling greater than 2.7 million albums in america, spawning top 10 singles "Sugar, We're Goin Down" and "Dance, Dance".
